Current Research Projects

Besides wandering down other people’s ancestral trails, I have a number of projects on the go in my ‘not so spare’ time.  These include:

  • The Women of the Persian Convict Ship – From England to Van Diemen’s Land, 1827
  • Ghosts of Kenmore – Kenmore Asylum, Goulburn, New South Wales, 1894-1900
  • Interned at Trial Bay – German Alien Internment, Trial Bay, Arakoon, New South Wales 1914-1918
  • Sydney Eviction Riots 1931

Fiction projects in various stages of the writing process are as follows:

  • Six Years in Paris – a novel set in the Marais district of Paris during WW2 – editing
  • Novel telling the story of hospital nurses during WW1 – researching

Family Biography to be published in 2019:

  • Sydney Francis Rogers (1915-1976) and June Beryl Kenyon (1923-1970)
