Happy National Family History Month

August is National Family History Month in Australia and it’s always an exciting time of extra events and activities planned around the country.

A lot of organisations have got behind the initiative that was started by the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisation.  To find out more about the activities planned, go to the website:  www.familyhistorymonth.org.au.  Events are organised by state and you can also upload your own event to the website so others can find out what your organisation is hosting.

There’s also a blogging challenge to take part in, and Shauna Hicks has a great list of 31 Activities for Researchers to undertake during the month.  To find out more take a look at the challenge on her website:  www.shaunahicks.com.au.
